Third Annual Meeting and Luncheon
The Walker Area Community Foundation's Third Annual Meeting and Luncheon was held on May 13, 2004 at the CHS Building in downtown Jasper. Mr. John F. Croyle, Founder and Executive Director of the Big Oak Ranch, Inc. was our guest speaker. The Spirit of America Volunteer of the Year Award was given and special gifts were given to Founders Society and Foundation Associates members. The Youth in Philanthropy project was introduced. To read more click here: Current Events New Board Member Announced The Walker Area Community Foundation announced the addition of Edward R. Jackson to our Board of Directors. Eddie has an impressive record of community service and is dedicated to leading the foundation in its growth, development and outreach. We welcome him to our Board.
Foundation Associates The Community Foundaton hs created a society for 25 - 40 year olds. The Foundation Associates will meet twice a year for fun events and will host community service projects. A great way for you and your family to get involved in the community. The next event is at Kerri and Jonathan Sapp's on July 17th . For more information about our upcoming service project and our September please see Foundation Associates. Honorariums and Memorials You have the opportunity to pay tribute to your special someone by giving a donation to the Community Foundation in his or her honor. These gifts can be made on a birthday, anniversary, birth of a child, retirement, to honor a teacher, professor or someone who has been a guide during life such as a pastor or a co-worker. The Community Foundation also invites you to honor the memory of a loved one by giving to the foundation in their memory.
