Walker Area Community Foundation

The Foundation Associates is a new society formed for individuals and couples ages 25 - 40 who will commit to giving $150 for three years to the Community Foundation.

The Society educates members on how to give back to the community through time and resources. It is more than a giving avenue for donors because it offers opportunities to actively serve our community. Service events are planned for families to give their time and talents.

Join us for a Day at the Lake on July 17th at the home of Kerri and Jonathan Sapp. The party will begin at 4:00 p.m. and members are invited to bring a guest and a dish to this relaxing day on the lake. For directions, call 302-0001.

On September 16th the Foundation Associates will host a Celebrity Dinner and Auction. Celebrity waiters will serve up food, drinks and talent at this fun night of entertainment and decision-making. Art in the Park will be a great day of fun for children, individuals and families in our area. Local and regional artists will be on hand to show and sale their artwork while crafts and art projects will be done with children. From parking to children's events, the Walker County Arts Alliance will need many volunteers to make this special day happen. If you would like to volunteer, please call Cristy at 302-0001.
