Forks
I installed the air forks, and triple clamps from a 1984 Honda CR500R complete
with disk brake. The handlebar is from a 1978 RM125. This was a fairly simple installation
using the stock TT500 steering head bearings with a couple of spacers. The forks are
considerably wider, longer, and fatter than the stock TT forks. The suspension is much
better now compared to the soft RM125 forks I had been using. The disk brake is great too! |
Fender
The front fender is from my brothers old TT250. Looks neat with the louvers! |
Lights
The headlight is the Explorer model from UFO. The installation is very easy.
Looks much more modern. The space behind the light is perfect to hide my tool pouch/water
bottle. The taillight is an aftermarket model dont know the manufacturer. It
will also serve as a brake light if I ever decide to put the beast on the road. |
Seat
Coming soon: A red seat cover strangely reminiscent of the YZs and TT600s of
years past. |
Miscellaneous
Red grips and a Yamaha crossbar pad complete the handlebar. Might try to find a
slightly longer, WR style enduro rear fender. Might try to fabricate an aluminum
skid plate to protect the vulnerable oil lines, etc. |
