Journey of Spirit

I ascend.  My spirit is  lifted out and drawn up through the clouds.  I am being drawn up by a higher one, waiting, calling.  I cannot feel the clouds as I rise up and soon, I am above the clouds.  Above the clouds, the interim plane is vast.  Vapor and clouds stretch as far as I am allowed to see.  The peace and love coming  from around me fill my spirit and suddenly,  I know I am in the presence of the ascended masters.  I look out across this vastness, the smell of incense and the thin stream of smoke from it drifting upwards.  Far away from me I see an ascended master in meditation.  He levitates there.  Slowly, cautiously, I approach, floating silently toward him.
He does not break meditation, eyes remaining shut.  Yet before I reach him he communicates telepathically that he is aware I have come.  Unsure of what to think or what to do, I circle around him where he levitates, observing.  He is amused at my curiosity and decides to show me what is possible.
He extends his right hand in my direction.  In it is an object in the shape of a pyramid.  It is the color of gold.  I view all three sides of the pyramid at once.  Gems are upon the three sides of it.  I see a diamond, an emerald and a ruby.  As I gaze upon the ruby I am told to  look into it, allow it to show me, allow it to draw me into it.

Within moments I feel my spirit being transported.  I see mountain tops come into view below the clouds.  I don't know this place I observe.  I join the birds who beckon me to soar with them.  Over many mountains and bodies of water we soar through the clouds.  My vision is clear with a birds eye view.  The beauty of the landscape passing by below fills my being with exhilaration.  Then, we come to a place high atop a mountain and stop to observe.  As I look down below the clouds I see a city with a holy place at the center of the perimeter.  This holy building is domed in gold.  I am in awe of the beauty I see, the love rising up from the city.  I am told that I look upon the City of the Most High, but when I question why I am allowed to view such a sacred place, I descend back to my body, left with the memories upon which to reflect.  Left with the knowing that there is more beyond this life.
