The Etheric Aura

"The subtle substance and energy of the astral body generates an aura. This is the etheric aura. It appears as a thin and mostly transparent band of mist or smoke outlining the physical body. It extends up to half an inch outward from the human body when in its awakened state, depending on a person’s overall energy level. This is the visible part of the spirit within the physical body.
During sleep the rising energy level of the chakra system causes this aura to expand away from the physical body, to absorb essential energy. This replaces depleted energy for both the physical body and spirit. It is possible to feel the energy of the etheric aura by placing a palm over the back of the hand in close proximity. It will feel like a field of subtle resistance."
