12/29/01 - We just found out we're having another bundle of joy!  Baby Boy Patel is due to arrive on August 21st, 2002.

6/27/02 - L   We just found out Conny has Placenta Previa.  Without going into too much detail, it's when the placenta is too close to the cervix.  This can cause complications if she has the baby naturally; there's a chance that Conny could hemorrhage if she were to push the baby, being that the placenta is in the way. We have to have another sonogram at Arnold Palmer Hospital in 4 weeks to see if the placenta has moved up any; the chances are not that great, but we're hoping for the best.  Otherwise, a C-section will have to be scheduled soon.

7/25/02 - GREAT NEWS!!!  After a sonogram at the hospital today, it was determined that the placenta has moved out of the way completely!  So Baby Kieran can come out the old-fashioned way and we don't have to worry about a C-section.  Thanks to all of you who prayed for us.  Baby Kieran weighs 6 lbs. 2 oz. as of now.  He seems to have big cheeks, big lips, and a big nose.  We can't wait to meet our new baby boy!

8/08/02 - As of the last doctor appointment, Conny is dilated 1 cm (has been for 2 weeks now), and the doctor believes she will deliver a bit earlier than the due date.  It's really all a guessing game, however.  It's up to Baby Kieran as to when he's ready to come out to meet us all.  We think we'll be about a week early.  Conny is definitely ready, and Spencer is getting better and better everyday at helping her to prepare for his arrival.  He will be an awesome big brother.

Note:  We may not have too much time left, but if we can manage, we will be putting up the last 2 sonogram pictures of Baby Kieran up and a few more heart tones before he makes his way into the world...
