Stationed at Kennett, Dunklin County, Missouri, August 9, 1862.

August 9 - Muster-in roll of Captain James Clark’s Recruits of Missouri Volunteers, commanded by Colonel H. E. Clark, called into the service of the Confederate States in the Provisional Army, under the provisions of the Act of Congress from August 9, 1862 (date of this muster) for the term of three years, unless sooner discharged.

Stationed at Bloomfield, Missouri, October 18, 1862.
October 18 - Muster-in roll of Captain James A. Cooper’s Company, of Clark’s Recruits of Missouri Volunteers, commanded by Colonel H. E. Clark, called into the service of the Confederate States in the Provisional Army, under the provisions of the Act of Congress from October 18, 1862 (date of this muster) for the term of three years, unless sooner discharged.

Stationed at camp near Camden [AR], January-February 1864
Colonel S. G. Kitchen commanded the brigade comprised of his and Colonel Greene’s Regiment (being on detached service).  Captain Cooper’s Company composed a part of the same.  We marched as follows:
January 12 - We left Camden.  Crossed the river at Bradley’s Ferry.  Marched five miles to Bradley’s Farm.
January 13 - Marched twenty miles and camped at Chambersville.
January 14 - Marched twenty-five miles and camped near Mount Elba.  Remained there three days.
January 18 - Marched sixteen miles and camped near Oak Bluff on Saline [River].
January 19 - Marched fifteen miles and camped on Moro, sixteen miles southeast of Princeton.
January 29 - Remained there until January 29 then returned to Camden which was a march of twenty-five miles.  We had no engagements with the enemy.
February 4 - We went into winter quarters near Camden, Arkansas.  The health of the soldiers is very good at present.  The company is improving in reference to discipline.

December 31, 1863-January 1, 1864 - Marched crossing Little Missouri about sixteen miles from Camden, Arkansas.
January 3 - Arrived at Camden.
January 13 - Left Camden and crossed the Ouachita River.
January 16 - Arrived at Saline and camped there.
January 19 - We moved twenty-five miles up the Saline to Camp Moro and remained.
January 29 - We left there and came back to Camden.
February 1 - Arrived at Camden, traveling on the whole march about 100 miles.  We have been at Camden ever since.

January 13 - Left Camden and crossed the Ouachita River.  Marched to the Saline River, a distance of about fifty miles, and remained there.
January 19 - We resumed the march and camped again on Moro Creek, a distance of twenty-five miles, where we did heavy picket duty.
January 29 - We again resumed the march returning to Camden where we built winter quarters.

 Company H
Stationed at Hornersville, Missouri, August 30, 1862.
Stationed at camp near Camden, January-February 1864.

January 13 - We left Camden on a scout to Saline River.
January 15 - We arrived and stayed two days.  We left there and went down Moro Creek.  We stayed there for eight or ten days then took up our line of march to Camden.
January 29 - We landed at Camden.

 Haislip’s Company

Captain Jonathan Haislip.  Company apparently disbanded with some of the men going into Company I, 8th Missouri Cavalry Regiment.

 Ward’s Company

Captain T. T. Ward.  No information regarding this company available.  Probably disbanded.
