Remote GPS Antenna Mount

Last Updated: 25 Jul 2003

The images below are of a remote GPS antenna mount for my Garmin GPS-V.  It was built from a universal radar detector mount, a piece of scrap metal and a BNC bulkhead connector.  The cable is a 3 foot piece of RG-58 with BNC connectors.  To use it, simply remove the stock antenna, connect the cable to the GPS-V and connect the stock antenna to the mount.  Since I already had the cable and radar detector mount, my total cost was about $1.50 for the bulkhead connector.
