Cabbage Palms stand among the oaks and pines, in the middle of pastures, on the edge of cypress swamps, along river banks, and down to the Gulf of Mexico. No other tree says, "Levy County", better than the Cabbage Palm. This site is dedicated to Old Florida and the families who settled Levy County in the 1800's. The country was unspoiled, wild and untamed ... as much of it remains today. Our families lived off the land; hunting and fishing, farming, raising livestock, and children... Many of the settlements they lived in then are not on maps today, but those names, like the names of our families, survive.
