Conrad's Info & Tips

Classical Boy Figure

Here are the proportions for a perfect classical boy figure... in centimeters. Working in centimeters allows for consistancy and accuracy in measuring that, in my opinion, cannot be matched working in inches.

chin to top of the head 17 centimeters
widest part of forehead 12.5 centimeters
widest part of cheeks 12 centimeters
center of eye to chin bottom 8.7 Centimeters
center eye to other eye center 6 centimeters
depth of head at deepest point 15.4 centimeters
chin to bottom of neck 6.5 to 7 centimeters

Marionette's

In 1996, at the 2nd Puppetfest, I gave a lecture on incorporating marionette's into an act and passed out these two sheets on constructing a professional sized marionette. Feel free to select these thumbnails and save the large size JPEG files to print out.

A good source of marionette information is Marionettes - How To Make And Work Them by Helen Fling and published by Dover Publications, Inc., New York.
