LAGNIAPPE II - The Story...
Gulf Shores has been our family vacation spot for many years. Why? Gulf Shores has something for everyone. Beautiful white beaches, blue gulf water, bountiful wildlife, historical sites, world class challenging golf courses, fine dining, shopping galore and several great amusement parks.
The site of LAGNIAPPE II has been in our family for over thirty years.
Hurricane Fredrick destroyed our first cottage on the property "The Drew Crew Shack" in 1979. Following Fredrick we rebuilt a wonderful little cottage and named it LAGNIAPPE.
As our family grew in numbers, LAGNIAPPE seemed to shrink in size. In addition, 20 years of hurricanes and salt air took its toll on the house. Although we were very attached to LAGNIAPPE and all of its wonderful memories, we realized it was time for major changes.
In January 1999, we moved LAGNIAPPE to a quieter resting place and began construction of LAGNIAPPE II and our first guests stayed at LAGNIAPPE II beginning in July of 1999.
