We are hoping that Séamus (pronounced Shay-mus) will be our next male to "do it all"-- conformation, agility and obedience.  After all, when you are named after the multi talented Séamus Egan (unprecedented winner of the All-Ireland music championship title in FOUR different instruments by the time he was only 14), how can you not be multi-talented as well?  Back that all up with a sire that is a Best in Show, multi Best in Specialty Show, DPCA Top 20 Conformation finalist and DPCA Award of Merit winner AND the fact that his CH/CD/ROM dam's litter brother and half sister were DPCA Top 20 Agility finalists, and you've got the right mix of beauty, brains, athleticism and temperament.

THE BREEDER/JUDGES' DOG...
At the 2003 DPCA National Host Club Show, Séamus was Best 15-18 mos Doberman under judge L Michelle Lewis who remarked at the time, "He's so balanced."  In a write-up of that judging assignment, Ms Lewis wrote, "My BOS winner, CH ADAMAS Ricochet, in my humble opinion, is a very fine young dog.  He is a red dog with heavy round bone, beautiful head, moves like a dream and will have a great specials career."  Séamus went on that same week to compete twice in Breed competition.  Breeder/owner/handled in an entry of over 40 Champion males, Séamus made it down to the best 8-10 males on both occasions under breeder/judges Faye Strauss and William (Bill) Shelton.  In a write-up of her Best of Breed assignment, Host Club Show Judge Faye Strauss wrote, "If Breeders are the Gatekeepers, what follows in an acknowledgment of their accomplishments.  All of these (following) entries are worthy of special mention and were, indeed, given the greatest of consideration... CH ADAMAS Ricochet..."  Of Séamus, Mrs. Strauss remarked at the time of the show that, "He's so sound!"   More recently, breeder/judge Judith (Judy) Smith gave him BOS in an entry of 6 male specials, some of them Top 20 finalists.  Mrs. Smith commented, "Super angles" and "Moves so nice."  2/13/04- BOS under breeder/judge Darlene Young, over Top 20 contenders.  2/28/04- Group 3 under breeder/judge Judy Doniere who says, "I LOVE this dog!"  5/15-16/04- Breeder/Judges Dr. Anthony and Mrs. Sheila DiNardo awarded Séamus back to back Best of Breeds with a Group Three and a Group cut- Thank you!
Other breeder/judges who have awarded Séamus include:  Dr. Sam Burke, Robert Vandiver and one-time breeder/judge Karin Ashe.

In his conformation debut at 6 mos, 3 days, Séamus went Best of Winners for a 4 point major.  In limited showing, he finished at 15 months of age with a total of FOUR major wins (two 3-pts, one 4-pt and one 5-pt) to complete his championship completely breeder/owner/handled.  He has since moved on to limited specialing with Elizabeth, and has already acquired multiple Best in Specialty Show wins (one of which is pictured right), multiple Best of Breed wins, a Group win (pictured above) and multiple Group placements.  Séamus obtained the three qualifying legs for his Novice Standard Agility title in four runs, with each leg earning first placements.  In short order he has already earned his Open Standard and Open Jumpers Agility titles.

FLASH!!!  At the Doberman Pinscher Club of Charlotte, NC specialty on April 2, 2004, Séamus earned his ROM and went Best in Specialty Show in a total entry of 43!  What a day!
